We started with a powerful vision: to make education a right, not a privilege. We provide everything from basic literacy to essential skill-based training, breaking down financial and resource barriers that keep children out of classrooms.
But we know true potential can only flourish when a child is also healthy. That’s why we’ve integrated crucial health initiatives into our mission, offering vital support like medical check-ups, nutritional guidance, and hygiene education. Because when a child is healthy, they’re ready to learn, play, and dream bigger.

At Steps for Poor, our mission is to empower the underprivileged through holistic support, focusing on education, women's empowerment, and health. We are committed to providing free education to children residing on the streets and in slum areas.
Our goal is to make every child self-reliant by supporting their journey to higher education, whether through college admissions or vocational courses tailored to their interests and accessible at a lower cost.
Furthermore, we strive to uplift women, often considered the weaker section of society across India. By offering skill enhancement courses, we aim to empower them to become self-sufficient and capable of running their own small businesses. Our mission also encompasses critical healthcare initiatives. We provide essential facilities such as free health check-up camps, menstrual education, and hygiene camps. Beyond this, we extend our support through legal aid and financial assistance to those in dire need within underprivileged communities.
